Code of Conduct for Canada Marches

This Code of Conduct has been drawn up to clarify what is expected from all participants (volunteers) of Canada Marches. Participants are expected to commit to the vision, values and objectives of Canada Marches at all times. 

The Code of Conduct sets out the expectations of Canada Marches and should be treated accordingly.

By participating/volunteering with or for Canada Marches you are automatically agreeing to Canada Marches’ code of conduct.

All Canada Marches participants are required to agree to the code of conduct to participate. This can be done by signing (if applicable) or verbally expressing your agreement to the code of conduct.

Participants have the right:  

  • To be treated with respect, dignity, and courtesy at all times

  • To lawfully and peacefully protest their Canadian Charter of Rights & Freedoms  

  • To volunteer in a safe and friendly environment

  • To have access to communication, information and resources relevant to their role

Participants commit to abide by the following:


  • To commit and conduct yourself in a manner that represents the culture, values, and vision of Canada Marches

  • To act in good faith with honesty, dignity, and integrity

  •  To show respect, consideration and always remain peaceful 

  • To keep all communication details and information confidential

  • (Volunteers) To give suitable notice for discontinuing participation if there are other roles dependent upon the role you are participating in
